This week in the library

This week, we are reading three books by some authors from our "Faculty-Favorites" list.

For K-2 we are reading "I Wanna Iguana" by Karen Orloff. (This is one of Mrs. Wadsworth's favorites.) This book has a unique style--all the text is letters between a son who wants a pet iguana and a mother who isn't quite sure about it.

For 3-4 we are reading "Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day", by Judith Viorst. (This is one of Mr. Sharp's favorites.)

5-6 heard "Touching Spirit Bear" by Ben Mikaelson This is a favorite for three of our faculty members: Mr. Butler, Mrs. Cope, and Ms. Green. This is an edgy tale about a boy who must choose between prison and Native American Circle Justice, where he must spend a year alone on an Alaskan island.

Next week, we will have the Scholastic Book Fair in the library! So keep your pocketbook prepared!
